800 Series
800 Series
The 8X2 range with their solid, welded frame construction are anything but ‘entry level’ models. They will bale reliably all day long.
At their heart is a heavy duty welded frame which guarantees a long, reliable working life. In common with other variable chamber balers, the 8X2 Series features a formation chamber with flat belts and a belt tensioner.
Move up to the 8X4 range and you’ll enjoy greater automation and versatility.
It starts right at the front with a choice of 2.0 or 2.2 m high capacity pick-ups and an efficient gearbox for better power delivery. Inside there are uprated drive chains for higher volume baling and an optional third starting roll for intensive silage baling.
Advanced monitoring and control systems including the optional GreenStar 1800 display give you a new level of control. Now the operator can control bale formation, the pivoting drop-floor and wrapping with even greater precision and confidence. Add to this easy maintenance with gullwing side doors and an automatic lubrication system and you have a formidable baling machine that will last for years.

Key Features
Find more information on the key features of the product below.
Meet our pickups: RotoFlow
A very good multicrop feeder. The heat-treated rotor fingers ensure even crop distribution in both wet and dry crops. The result is well shaped bales with even density. Available on the 8X4 balers.
HiFlow
The fork feeder design minimises tractor power demands and protects delicate crops, which is why the HiFlow is favoured for straw baling. Available on the 8X2 balers.
MaxiCut 14
A popular option for silage cutting. The double fingers on the rotor sweep the crop against the knives to produce the ideal 80 mm silage length. Available on the 8X4 balers.
Spring loaded knives
For optimum protection, even in stony fields.
Pick-up roll compressor
Improves crop flow and in-field speed – especially when baling in large windrows.
Reliable bale formation
Six Diamond tread belts enclose over 90% of the bale width for minimum crop loss and easy bale starting. A cleaning auger helps keep the belts clean so they never lose their grip – even in wet conditions.
Rugged Driveline
Simple driveline for more reliability and less maintenance cost. Uprated chains and a new gearbox equipped to handle high outputs.
Automatic Lubrication
The automatic chain lubrication system and centralised greasing nipples save time and effort.
Binding System
You can choose between twin arm tying system and CoverEdge netwrap which is unique to John Deere and extends over the edge of the bale for better protection.
Easy To Use Monitoring System
Choose from either the BaleTrak Easy, BaleTrak Plus or go for the GreenStar 1800 display with Tractor-Implement-Automation on the 864 ISOBUS model.
